I read a few verses in scripture that sounded like a prayer of those yet to be born. And so on their behalf, I am going to pray for them using the words the Lord gave to David. I am praying God’s own words back to Him. “God, hurry to rescue me. LORD, hurry to help me! Let those who seek to kill me be disgraced and confounded; let those who wish me harm be turned back and humiliated. Let those who say, ‘Aha, aha!’ retreat because of their shame. Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; let those who love your salvation continually say, ‘God is great!’ I am oppressed and needy; hurry to help me, God. You are my help and my deliverer; LORD, do not delay.” (Psalm 70)
I am praying that our God will open our eyes to our sin as a nation. I am asking we repent again today of this great sin that is a choice of “freedom” allowed in our land. How many more have to die? Only God can turn us from our wicked ways. Please hurry, God, for we are in great need of You doing only what You can do. Please be merciful to our nation. We have sinned grievously against You. Lord, please forgive us and give us another chance to protect life.
